It’s a Party!!
Welcome! I love to throw a party, so welcome! If you’ve been here before, you’ve probably already taken your flip-flops off and are headed for the snacks. I made some butter mints and Oreo truffles like I do for the holiday party. You’re going to love them! 
If there are tiny fingerprints in the mints, they’re Eliza’s, of course. And if the kid standing next to the truffles tries to tell you they aren’t any good, don’t believe him. That’s Griff, and he’s just trying to increase the likelihood that there will be some leftover for him.
If this is your first time visiting me, hello. Nice to meet you. I’m Michele… Chel to those who love me. I’m a not-so-young any longer chickie with an amazing husband (though he is occasionally a moron) and two pretty groovy kids. Griff’s 10, and Eliza’s 5. 
We’re here in Florida, enjoying the sunshine, wishing I could win the lottery and lie on the beach for the rest of time. No, that’s probably not true. I’d take breaks during the afternoon and make jewelry. Go by my jewelry site and tell me what you like. I’d be happy to make a custom piece for you.
I’m a fan of flip-flops and fake toenails… LUSH and Starbucks chai tea… recycling and Menu Planning… henna tattoos and the aquatic box of death (our aquarium seems to kill fish) … love and friendship.
I’m a believe in Christ and His ability to make good out of our messy lives. I’m also a believer in letting everyone believe what they believe, so while I’ll share my faith here, I’ll try not to be pushy about it.
I will be pushy about telling you that the Wii Fit rocks (I can do 1600 spins on the hula!) and that sunscreen is really important, and that sometimes, you’ve just gotta paint on the side of the house to have a good time.
This has been a more subdued party than usual, but we’ve got lots of heart-heavy matters going on over here. But I’m glad you dropped by. You brightened my day. Drop me a comment and tell me that you had a good time. I’m not giving away an official gift, but there might be a surprise in there for someone special… you just never know. I do love to send surprise happies.

It has been a stressful week at work, and how happy I was to come home to see that a party was being thrown for me! Oreo truffles were fantastic!

Popping in from the UBP to say hello, Michele. I clicked over to your heart heavy matters and was saddened to hear about your grandfather and your friend Mandy. We experienced two recent losses - my FIL (in Nov) and my dear friend/ next-door neighbor (in Oct). Watching this vibrant lady become someone I struggled to recognize - well, it’s very difficult, as I’m sure you know. My prayers are with you.
I’m sorry for your loss. You know how I feel. Sometimes, a little empathy goes a long way. Thank you.
