Swap me, sell me, chai me.

May 20th, 2008

I closed my Etsy shop (again) because I haven’t sold anything (again). And I’ve got all of the jewelry that’s made and lovely. And I want someone to be wearing it. You know, I can’t wear it all all the time. And I’m pretty sure my friends are about to get sick of getting new jewelry for every gift-giving occasion (and some random Tuesdays in the mail).

Now, I’m not at all sure about how to do this, but I’ve got a bunch of really groovy jewelry that would really like a nice home. I can’t afford to give it all away because I’ve got an investment in the materials. But by that same token, I’m ready to be surrounded by new pieces.

So here goes… I’m going to post pictures of the pieces that I have made and ready. If you see something you like, let me know. I’m not listing any prices.

If you make something, we’ll swap. Jendi and I are already swapping. She’s making a jeans bag for me out of THE cutest pair of Eliza jeans you’ve ever seen. And Kellie and I are swapping. So, come on, now, don’t you wanna play, too?

If you wanna name your price, fine. If you wanna pay me in Starbucks cards, ALL the better. If you wanna give me a really amazing story about why you need groovy jewelry but can’t afford it right now, I’m pretty sure you’re going to end up with groovy jewelry.

That’s the deal. Leave a comment. Tell your friends. Happy Tuesday.

All right, I’ll take the Shhh…I’m flirting earrings. Love ‘em! Love you too! Stacy

I love the shell one, Chel :) (that rhymes, hehe) I would love that one if there are no other takers. I’m envisioning a trade? :):)

p.s. Sorry the etsy store did not go well. Do they charge you a big fee there? I know the competition is really tough there. Etsy has gotten HUGE. They almost need to expand in some way…

I have been thinking about an Etsy store but have too many pans in the fire right now. Would be willing to trade a doodle or two for something if you are interested–LOVE the blue watermelon and the typewriter keys. I know what you mean about the cost–my mom does beaded jewelry and sells is via a personal site instead of Etsy.

I’m so excited that this is already going so well!

Heather, let me know which one of those you want & we’ll swap! And I have a personal site, too, but I don’t promote it as well as I should. My husband says I’m lousy at the business part of this. :)

Go to the top of my blog & click the ‘beading’ link. It’ll take you to a link to my jewelry site.

Oh, I love the Blue Monday bracelet. I’m hopefully untalented in the “making something” dept, though. I’ll have to get creative.

If nobody’s grabbed it yet, I’d like Milli Me. If that’s taken, my second choice is Bee-utiful. Let me know how much.

    Mom would like Pinkie Tuscadero.
