A Grab Bag of Goodness
I am a sucker for a grab bag… come on, a bag of whatnots for $2 and the thrill of finding out what’s inside? Irresistible. So here’s a post of whatnots that caught my eye recently… and you don’t even owe me the two dollars (really, can you say ‘two dollars’ and not say it like the kid from “Better Off Dead?”).
Chic Critique did a review of my favorite fragrance brands… Demeter. I like light, airy fragrances, and these are super. And quirky. They did make my Play-doh birthday fragrance after all.
Our friend, Craig at Parsonage Musings, sent me a post by The Life and Times of Eric’s Wife about how to make your home the one where all the kids want to hang out. We’ve always had people in and out of our house, and I’ve always wanted to make our home a place where people were comfortable. Sure, you’re gonna have to shove some laundry over to sit on the sofa, but it’s a comfy sofa. One of the things that tells me we’re getting more settled here is that Griff’s got friends from down the street coming to hang out.
Kailani has the 2008 Bloggy Hoss Elections up and ready for voting. She’s got all sorts of neat categories, and you get to nominate your favorite blogs. It’s set up like your old high school Favorites (which strikes close to home as my 20th high school reunion is this coming weekend). Go vote for your faves. Between me and Mike, we keep the local newspapers well-read. He’s in charge of the front and sports pages, and I read the features and the comics. One of my favorite comics is Pearls Before Swine. I adore this strip!! The one from Sunday was sooo perfect.

And, lastly, in a complete surprise, I got a groovy woohoo Chel from my favorite DysFUNctional Mom. I got an I Love You This Much award. Now, come on, how cool is that?!
I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to give it to someone else, but I’ll have to think about it. Later in the week.
