Today, from 5-8 p.m., Cold Stone Creamery is doing their annual fund-raiser for the Make a Wish Foundation. You get a free 3 oz ice cream with a donation, and the foundation gets the donations. Perfect all around.

celebrate with us
Today is a big day in our house. Today, Mike and I have been married 15 years. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long or that this marriage of ours is so much better than I’d hoped. I am blessed beyond words with this man who chooses to stay with me, to love me, to endure the crazies, and to move forward with me every day.
And since it’s such a big deal for us, Dairy Queen chose to celebrate with us (right). It’s their annual Miracle Treat Day in which profits from their blizzards are given to the Children’s Miracle Network. Our Eliza was born in a CMN hospital, and I can remember seeing the CMN tags on the equipment in the NICU.
This marriage, this love, has been so fortunate as to embrace a couple of lovely kids, and we are endlessly grateful to CMN for the assistance given to all of the tiny babies but especially for our tiny baby.
So, celebrate with us, won’t you? Go to DQ tonight and get a blizzard. You’ll be helping tiny babies and their families all over. And it’ll give me a warm fuzzy feeling thinking that ya’ll are celebrating with us.

Mike and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary later this summer, and my sweet sister-in-law, Stacy, offered to keep the kids for FOUR nights so that Mike and I could take a trip together. We’ve booked the flights and hotel room, and we’re so looking forward to some time alone.
