Miss Her Already
We took Eliza this morning to Stacy, and she’ll stay with them through Saturday. Eliza was so excited… waved us goodbye with hardly a look back. Of course, I’ve only been with her since late Monday night, so I hated to say goodbye. And I do miss her already.
I’m not worried about the surgery. Griff has told me twice today, though, that he’s nervous, which is perfectly understandable. I’m so glad we did the trip last weekend like we did. Today’s the first day he’s had a chance to be nervous, and the surgery’s tomorrow. Perfect planning.
We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 in the morning, so it’ll be a long day.

Highlights in Pictures
Here’s a quick photo rundown of the high points of our lazy weekend.
These are the BBQ bananas we had for dessert on Friday. They were yummy. I got the original recipe from Tammy at freshlife06. Now, I simplified it, and of course, added some ice cream. Yummo.
Saturday’s big excitement was our visit to the salon. I get my hair colored about every six weeks & usually I get it done differently every time. So that was no big deal. But we decided to cut Eliza’s hair. A Lot.
Her hair was down to her tush & it was so pretty. But she hated to put it up, and so it was always sweaty and yucky and tangled. I finally told her she could either cut it or wear it up. She chose to have it cut. So we did.
Our stylist cut off 10 inches, which was enough for us to be able to donate Eliza’s ponytail to Locks of Love.
She thinks it’s really neat that she’s able to help other little boys and girls just by getting a cute haircut. And really, it is pretty neat.
And seriously… what a cute cut. Makes me rethink my plan to grow mine out.
