A sucker born every minute OR got anything you’d like to sell me?
A quick update…
LOVING the Wii Fit. Oh, my gosh, how fun!
And we lost two of our sucker fish over night, so we had to go buy a couple of additional fish today. (The Chinese Algae Eaters help keep the tank clean.) I, of course, left with six new fish instead of one. And an additional pregnant fish. Yes, I now have two pregnant fish.
Now, I can hardly wait to see the babies, but I feel a little like a sucker. Mostly because Mike said I was a marketer’s dream, which, of course, I am.

Fit & fishies
It’s been a busy weekend here at the Chasing Contentment house. We had the Monk/Psych night on Friday evening. Loved both shows. I used Josh’s BBQ Steak & Rice recipe, and Mandy and Josh had the same thing. We pretended to have a big, communal M/P night.
The funny part of that, of course, is that I used chicken and not steak & did Josh’s recipe entirely wrong. But it turned out yummy.
We’re adding it to the menu rotation. And we’re gonna call it Josh’s blah-blah because it cracks us up. Josh’s original version is on the left. Mine is on the right (chicken, you know).
Saturday, I went to get a new filter for the fish tank and ended up buying two new fish, one of whom is huge and awaiting her babies. I had to get a little fishie nursery for her and the babies, so the other fish wouldn’t eat them. And now I’m eagerly awaiting her babies. We got the fish tank for Eliza (since Griff is allergic to pet dander & we can’t have a puppy), but I’m pretty sure I’m the one who likes it the best.
And this morning, Mike saw the Wii Fit advertised in the Target ads. We’ve been trying to get a Fit for weeks to help with Griff’s therapy. Mike threw on some clothes and a cap (it annoys me to no end that men can do that and look perfectly acceptable) and got us a Fit. They’re setting it up now.
I do love times like these.
(Oh, quick update… the Wii Fit determine my BMI to be obese, but my Wii age is two years younger than my real age. A fair swap, I think.)
