20 - opportunities

Griff and I went and volunteered today with the church we’ve been attending, and it was a good chance for us to meet some people at the church. More than that, it was a good reminder of the opportunities we have been given. It was a good reminder of how very blessed we are.

19 - date night

I’m going to see the new Harry Potter movie tonight with Mike (it’s our tradition to see it opening weekend), and I can hardly wait. dinner & drinks after. a good sitter with the kids. good time with my favorite person in the world. how could I not be thankful for date nights?

18 - color, sweet color

I’m 40… my natural color is a little sketchy these days, but you wouldn’t know it because I’ve got an amazing colorist. Today, I’m a blonde. Two months ago, I was a brunette. A while back, I was a red-head. I am thankful for a good colorist. Shallow, yes. Truthful, yes.

17 - Spirit Nights

Today, I’m thankful for Spirit Nights at my kids’ schools that allow me to not cook and do it under the guise of supporting their schools.

16 - iPhone

I’m sitting in a doctor’s office as I write this. I’ve checked my email, sent a text to check on a calendar appointment, updated my Facebook status, looked at recipes on Twitter and checked my bank account balance. All from my phone.

So today, I’m grateful for my iPhone & it’s many capabilities & distractions.
